Good to know

• A complete service — nothing has to be borrowed from another set to lay the table.
• Single replacement pieces are available, so one broken cup does not end the service.
• Matching cup-and-saucer pairs are sold separately if you need to seat more people.

Hand wash only. Fine china does not belong in a dishwasher — the heat and the detergent dull a glaze and lift gold over time.

• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
• Dry at once rather than leaving pieces to drain.
• Avoid abrasive pads and scouring powders.
• Avoid sudden changes in temperature — never take a piece from hot water straight to cold.
• Never microwave a piece with gold or platinum trim.
• When stacking, put a napkin or soft cloth between plates to protect the glaze.
